Tue 18 Jun 2019 04:09 am to 04:09 am
Ever wanted to enjoy an outdoor cinema experience, with the added benefits of the surrounding wildlife sights and sounds?
Join us for the family-friendly, bushland screening of Oddball (G, 2015) on Friday, May 17 at the Maroochy Botanic Garden.
This Australian film is based on a true story set in Middle Island, off the Warrnambool coast in Victoria. An eccentric chicken farmer, with the help of his granddaughter, trains his mischievous dog named Oddball to protect a penguin sanctuary from fox attacks. These escapades and efforts are all done in an attempt to reunite his family and save their town.
Bring your own picnic rug or chairs, cash for fresh popcorn, and stake your spot in the open lawn area of the Botanic Garden.
Be sure to arrive at 6pm for a 6.30pm screening start time. Tickets are available for $5 per family through council’s website - https://events.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/Event?eventID=20970.
