Walker Located West Of The Gympie

UPDATE | Police have located a man who failed to return from a walk 1 hour and 40 minutes west of Gympie on Sunday.
The 47-year-old man had been walking at Okeden, near Proston, when he disappeared.
Police advise that he has been found and is being reunited with relatives.
The QPS also issued a "Big thanks to everyone who assisted" .
EARLIER | Police are coordinating a search for a 47-year-old local man who failed to return from a walk yesterday at Okeden (near Proston).
The man was last seen on Boondooma Dam Lookout Road at around 9am when he left a residence to go for a walk in nearby bushland.
A ground search utilising Police and SES personnel are searching bushland, both on foot and in vehicles, with a Police Forward Command Post set up in the vicinity of Boondooma Dam Lookout Road.
Police are appealing for local residents to search their properties and sheds and anyone with information is urged to contact police (details below).
The man, who took no provisions with him (such as food and water), is described as caucasian, approximately 180cms tall with a proportionate build, hazel eyes and dark, short brown hair. It is unknown what he was wearing except for a red bucket hat.
The area is not subject to current bushfire activity.
