POLICE | Man Accused Of Fatally Stabbing His Brother In Buderim

UPDATE | The man accused of killing his brother, who flew over for his wedding, has faced the Maroochydore Magistrates Court.
57-year-old Bernard John Robbins remained in the watchhouse while his case was briefly mentioned in court on Thursday.
He has been charged with murder and his case has been adjourned to August 9.
EARLIER | Sunshine Coast CIB Detective Sergeant Chris Eaton said "the male victim is actually the brother of the victim".
"Police will allege that the male victim has travelled from Western Australia in the past couple of days to actually attend the wedding of his brother.

Detective Sergeant Eaton said it is alleged that the brothers got into a fight, which turned physical overnight, and the victim was stabbed multiple times in the upper body.
The victim and his brother are not known to the Police.
Detective Sergeant Eaton confirmed that neighbours rushed to help when they heard the argument.
He said Police have conducted a doorknock in the general area but they would like to hear from anyone they haven't already spoken to if they saw or heard anything suspicious.
He said Buderim is a quiet area so this would come as a shock to locals.
Detective Sergeant Eaton added that anyone who has a family member who dies under these circumstances it is absolutely tragic "but for someone's relative to be arrested and charged with that offence, you can only imagine the heartache for the family and friends of the victim".
EARLIER | A man has lost his fight for life after being stabbed multiple times in Buderim overnight.
Officers were called to a residence on Hamilton Street at 9.50PM on Wednesday following reports that there was a disturbance at the address.
When they got there, a 61-year-old man was located with stab wounds to his torso.
The man was rushed to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition but died on Thursday morning.
Detectives took a man into custody at the scene.

A 57-year-old Buderim man has been charged with one count of murder and is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.
