Man not guilty of assault charge

Maroochydore Magistrates Court

A man has been cleared of a grievous bodily harm charge after facing trial in the Maroochydore District Court.
News Corp reports 27-year-old Troy Anderson was facing the charge after damaging the eye of his neighbour, 58-year-old Gary Hugh Duncan, during an altercation in a block of flats in Nambour in March last year.
The court heard Mr Anderson threw a single punch after Mr Duncan pushed him and held him against a wall.
The jury took less than two hours to find him not guilty.
