UPDATE: The missing girl from Clontarf has been found safe.

EARLIER:

Police are searching for a missing girl, 12, who may be travelling to Nambour.

Police are appealing for public help to find the girl, who was last seen travelling on King Street at Clontarf, near Redcliffe, around 9:30am yesterday, and has not been in contact with family since.

Police and family hold concern for the girl’s welfare, due to her young age, ongoing medical condition and the behaviour being out of character.

The girl is described as Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 170cm tall, proportionate build, with black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a green, gold and blue sports shirt, green shorts and white running shoes.

Police appeal to the girl or anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to come forward.
