Shots fired, man struck by vehicle in Caboolture South

Shots have been fired and a man has been struck by a vehicle at Caboolture South.

Police have set up a crime scene on Macadmia Street.

They say two vehicles pulled into the street shortly before 7pm on Wednesday, where a fight broke out between the occupants..

The people involved then returned to the vehicles and drove off, with one man in his 50s struck by one of the cars in the process.

He was knocked to the ground and was later taken to the Royal Brisbane and Woman’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say around the same time, it is believed someone from a nearby properties came out and fired several shots towards the vehicles as they drove away.

Investigations are underway, with a second crime scene also established in Daintree Street at Bellmere.

Police are appealing for anyone with further information or anyone in the area with dashcam vision to contact police.
