Drivers nabbed speeding through roadworks
More than 10 traffic infringement notices have been issued to motorists, speeding through roadworks on the Bruce Highway, Gunalda.
Within a period of about 7am through to 3pm on Monday, June 29, officers from the Road Policing Command intercepted drivers doing more than 13km/h over the limit, through the road work zone.
Of concern, most were travelling at nearly more 20 km/h over of the reduced speed zone.
One driver was allegedly nabbed travelling approximately 100km/h in a 40km/h zone.
Police said the message was simple; anywhere and in any speed zone, including roadwork zones, remember to observe the speed limit, for your safety and the safety of others.
Drive to the conditions and arrive at your destination safely.
