Noosa Show makes a post-covid comeback
The Noosa Show is returning in 2020.
The event was postponed in mid-May due to the COVID-19 pandemic and associated travel restrictions and social distancing requirements, but the Noosa Show Society has now announced a new date.
A scaled-down community show will take place on October 24.
“Because our Society actually owns our Showgrounds, we are in a great position to be able to reschedule and reorganise our annual Show, and we want to make this one in 2020 a real community event for the greater Noosa area," explained Noosa Show Society President Charlie Pattison.
"We hope it will be a celebration for the Community, as so many people come through what has been a particularly challenging year,” he said.
“Entry to the 2020 Noosa Community Show will be by optional donation, and we will have free exhibits, entertainment, and demonstrations for all ages.
"As usual, tickets for sideshows will be available for purchase".
In order to make the day a success, the Society was calling for the participation of more volunteers for set up, knock down, and during the day of the Show.
Volunteers were invited to contact AdministrationOfficer@NoosaShowSociety.org.au
The original date of the Noosa Shire's Show Day public holiday will remain on Friday September 11, 2020.
