Teen slashed from chin to ear at Buddina
Police are searching for an 18-year-old man following the wounding of a teenage girl at Buddina on Monday afternoon.
Police will allege two men, aged 18 and 17, who were known to each other, were involved in a physical altercation at a local shopping centre around 4:00pm.
A 16-year-old girl has attempted to intervene, resulting in the 18-year-old man allegedly slashing her jaw, resulting in a significant laceration from her chin to her ear.
The 18-year-old man has then run from the shopping centre, while the girl was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The 17-year-old man involved in the initial altercation was not injured.
Police declared a crime scene and conducted significant patrols of the surrounding areas, however did not located the man.
