Armed Robbers On The Run, Coochin Creek

UPDATE | Detectives have released vision of two men in relation to the armed robbery at a fast food restaurant in Coochin Creek on Thursday morning. 

Around 1:30AM, two men pulled upat the McDonalds on the Bruce Highway at Coochin Creek in a black coloured utility.

One man entered the restaurant armed with a knife and the other was armed with a baton.

Once inside one of the men confronted a store manager and demanded money before they left the restaurant in the Holden Commodore ute with a small sum of money.

Police believe the utility travelled either south along the Bruce Highway or straight across the overpass towards Glasshouse Mountains on Johnston Road, Beerwah.

Both men are described as wearing dark coloured clothing with a hoodie covering their faces.

Police are appealing for anyone with further information to come forward.

EARLIER | Police are hunting two armed men after a fast food restaurant was held up on the Sunshine Coast.

Police said two men, armed with a knife and baton, entered a McDonald's on the Bruce Highway at Coochin Creek at 1:30AM on Thursday.

The pair demanded cash from the employee before running off and jumping into a black sedan.

Police are trying to track down the two men.
