UPDATE | Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews remain at the scene of a fire off Brooweena Woolooga Road, north of Woolooga.

Fire crews continue to monitor the fire and strengthen containment lines.

Brooweena Woolooga Road is currently closed in both directions due to the Running Creek Bridge being impacted by fire.

Smoke may affect the surrounding areas.

Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep their medication close by.

Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a bushfire in Woolooga.

You need to keep up to date and decide what actions you will take if the situation changes.

Currently as at 4.55pm Tuesday 3 December, a bushfire is burning in the vicinity of Brooweena Woolooga Road, north of Woolooga.

This fire is now contained.

QFES crews remain on scene and will continue to monitor the area overnight.

People in the area will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.

Properties are not under direct threat at this time. Call Triple Zero (000) immediately if you believe you or your property is under threat.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
• Listen to your local radio station or visit the Rural Fire Service (RFS) website for regular updates.
• If you have a bushfire survival plan, refer to it now and be ready to follow it.
