Parts of our region have been hit with heavy rain overnight as the weather bureau predicts there could be flash flooding from Caboolture to Gympie in the next couple of days.
174 millimetres has fallen in Wamuran in the 24 hours to 9am today, 159mm at Caboolture and 108mm at Landsborough.
A severe thunderstorm hit Caboolture earlier this morning dumping 91mm in an hour and 51mm in surrounding areas in 15 minutes.
There are also reports of up to 192mm at Kilkivan, Eudlo had 79mm, Maleny 61mm, Cooran 60mm and Miva 73mm.
The weather bureau is forecasting totals between 80 and 100 mills in the next couple of days with up to 250 mills possible from severe thunderstorms.
There’s also a flood watch for our rivers with minor flooding likely and moderate to major flooding possible.
