Police have released video following several shop fires in Gympie, in the early hours of Monday morning.
The CCTV footage shows two people, dressed in black with their faces covered, breaking into a building, before fleeing as flames erupt inside.
Police were patrolling Mary Street around 12.30am on April 10, when they saw a fire inside a tobacconist.
Officers called for assistance from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, however the flames spread quickly to two neighbouring businesses.
The fire caused a series of explosions from within the tobacconist and affected power to the area.
Anyone who recognises the men depicted in the footage below is asked to contact police.
Police are also attempting to identify the driver and passenger of a white 2010 Toyota Aurion sedan, seen in the area at the time, as they may be able to assist with enquiries.
No one was physically injured in the fire.
