+ US HEADLINE TOUR OFFICIALLY SELLS OUT AS DEAN CLAIMS BILLBOARD #1 EMERGING ARTIST & #1 MOST SHAZAMED

DEBUT ALBUM ‘A PLACE WE KNEW’ RELEASED MARCH 22 GLOBALLY

Dean Lewis is thrilled to share his new video for his current single ‘7 Minutes’ available on his highly anticipated debut album A Place We Knew (out Friday Mar 22)The clip was directed by Stevie Russell(Kodaline) and shot in various locations in LA.

Taking time out of his now SOLD OUT US headline tour, Dean says about his new clip, “Stevie has directed some of my favourite music videos of all time. He’s the one person I’ve wanted to work with more than anyone. It was such a great experience, and I feel like this music video feels exactly how the song feels.”

The global singer-songwriter only days ago sold out his first headline Melbourne and Sydney shows for his upcoming May headline tour. Second shows have now been added with Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide dates close to sold out. Dean will be playing with his full band songs from his forthcoming album as well as debut EP Same Kind Of Different.

Dean’s current single ‘7 Minutes’ is now certified GOLD in Australia, charting #1 on TMN Hottest 100 Airplay Chart and accumulating over 40 million streams in just over 4 weeks. ‘7 Minutes’ along with his global hits 6 x Platinum ‘Be Alright’ and 5 x Platinum ‘Waves’ will be included on Dean’s debut album.

More great news rolls in from the USA where Dean has claimed #1 on Billboard's Emerging Artists chart with global hit single "Be Alright," which reaches a new Billboard Hot 100 peak at No. 29. Dean also is currently the #1 Most Shazamed Artist in the USA. Worldwide, the song has now accumulated715 million streams.

For Lewis, the title A Place We Knew encapsulates the bittersweet memories of past relationships. “All the songs were written through relationships I’d been in and houses I used to live in and hotel rooms.”

Lewis collaborated with standout producers on his new album. The British team behind ‘Waves’ and ‘Be Alright’, Edd Holloway and Nick Atkinson  are ever-present and so too is Melbourne’s John Castle(‘Don’t Hold Me’ and ‘Chemicals’) as well as Dann Hume (‘Time to Go’ and title-track ‘A Place We Knew’). Sydney-based producer Dylan Nash, whom Lewis refers to as “almost like the co-producer for the whole album”, ties a thread between the 12 songs that were written and recorded all over the world giving A Place We Knew its cohesive sound.

Dean Lewis will be returning to Australia in May for his A Place We Knew National Tour.
