10 Things you didn't know about Bevo

1. Bevo was a member of The Queensland Talent School as a kid. He performed at many events all over Brisbane: singing and dancing his little heart out. He turned to radio when his voice broke and could no longer sing in key.

2. At age 10, Bevo was told by an eye specialist he'd never have to wear glasses (how wrong was he).

3. Ever since buying since buying his wife an ipod mini for her birthday, Bevo's been obsessed with all things Apple. He now owns an iMac, Macbook, Apple TV and was even about to work for Apple in Sydney before being offered a job at Hot 91.

4. At High School Bevo was one of only two males to take Dance as subject. He graduated with a high achievement in the subject and received a merit award.

5. Bevo has no toe nails on his big toes. Eeek! After repeatedly getting ingrown toe nails as a teenager, he had them surgically removed.

6. Bevo's name was once mispronounced as "Beevo" by comic actor Jack Black in an interview he did in 2002. He still gets called "Beevo"
around the office for fun.

7. LOL. Not in the early days. Bevo had to learn how to laugh out load for radio. Early in his career he used to weeze instead of laugh and listeners would often ring up concerned about his asthma.

8. Even though Bevo sounds like a work experience kid, he's actually been doing radio most of his working life. Since starting out at the age of 14 as a volunteer at 101.5FM Caboolture, he's been on air at various radio stations in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

9. In Sydney, Bevo was called "The Chemist" after his boss looked at him after being on air one day and said to him, "Mate you don't look like a jock, you look like a chemist".
